Since 1987, under the leadership of founder and CEO Ruel Hamilton, AmeriSouth has revitalized aging and underserved apartment communities by pairing disciplined investment strategy with hands-on operational expertise. We believe that preserving and improving existing housing is one of the most effective ways to address the affordable housing crisis, create long-term value, and support the residents we serve. Our leadership

AmeriSouth Realty was founded and is led by Ruel M. Hamilton, a real estate executive with decades of experience in multifamily ownership, management, and investment. Ruel established the company in 1987 during the aftermath of the Savings and Loan crisis, when complex real estate assets required disciplined management, creative problem-solving, and steady leadership. What began as a fee property management firm has grown into a vertically integrated real estate platform focused on acquiring, improving, and preserving multifamily communities.
